The Government of Maharashtra has enacted the Indian Partnership (Maharashtra Amendment) Act, 2026, modernising the registration framework for partnership firms by making the entire process digital. Under the amended provisions of Sections 58, 59, and 67 of the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, partnership firm registration must now be completed through the official online portal, eliminating manual submissions. The new framework mandates online submission of the partnership deed, digital signatures by all partners or their authorised representatives, inclusion of PAN, email address, and complete partner details, while also enabling certified copies of documents to be obtained online or offline. The amendment is expected to enhance ease of doing business through faster processing, improved transparency, paperless administration, and seamless digital access for partnership firms across Maharashtra.
